Earlier this month (okay, very early, like the second day of this year) I took a quick hike around Pinnacle Peak, one of Phoenix’s landmarks and northern outpost of the McDowell Mountains. It’s an iconic and beautiful hike, giving a great view of the distant Valley, but quite short when compared to my usual excursions. As a result I only took a few shots, the three best shown here. I know it’s not much, and hardly enough for the in-depth narratives I’ve been writing recently, but consider it an appetizer for more photos soon. I have one more short hike in Phoenix to put up as well as an upcoming set from Flagstaff, wintry and grey as it has been. Stay tuned for more coming soon!
